This course discusses the trend of chemical suicide and the dangers it poses to first responders. Even though instances of this type of suicide are low, the threat to the safety of first responders is significantly higher than other methods of suicide.

The objective of this course is to prepare first responders and other public safety officials with basic tools and information needed to develop guidelines for responding to chemical assisted suicides.

This course can be submitted for TCOLE and TCFP credit.
